Neuronal acetylcholine receptor; alpha3/beta4 antagonist
ASM-024 displays both antagonistic and agonistic activity on CHRNA7, is thought to be a so called "a7 silent agonist": produce little or no CHRNA7 channel activation on its own but effectively activate the ion channel when combined with the type II positive allosteric modulator (PAM) PNU-120596.
