A p300-CBP transcription factor with intrinsic HISTONE ACETYLASE activity that functions to promote TRANSCRIPTIONAL ACTIVATION. Among its functions is suppression of the CELL CYCLE where it competes with ADENOVIRUS E1A PROTEINS.
