A myosin-binding protein found in the SARCOMERES of STRIATED MUSCLE. Iit has slow and fast paralogs. Myosin-binding protein C regulates systolic and diastolic activity in MYOCARDIUM and muscle contraction in SKELETAL MUSCLE.
