Mechanism of action

  • CHLE inhibitor

    Propanidid is a competitive inhibitor of serum cholinesterase, and neuromuscular plaque and brain acetylcholinesterase. It is an intravenous anesthetic that has been used for rapid induction of anesthesia and for maintenance of anesthesia of short duration.
